Study in Malta

The Malta is a country that needs no introduction.
If you desire to achieve your goals, the world is your oyster.

Malta Tourist Visa

Malta is a small island nation in southern Europe near the Mediterranean Sea. The Republic of Malta is Malta's official name. Malta became a member of the European Union in 2004.

The Maltese islands are made up of three separate islands: Gozo, Comino, and Malta.

Malta's capital city is Valletta, while Birkirkara, on the other hand, is the country's largest city.

Maltese and English are the official languages of Malta.

As a tourist, you must be aware of all the Malta visa requirements before you go.

If you do not live in an EU or EEA member state, you will require a short-term visa that is good for up to ninety days.

The Schengen visa is another name for this short-term visa. Having a Schengen visa allows you to travel freely within the Schengen nations.

As a member of the Schengen agreement, Malta has several privileges. You may travel to and stay in Malta and the other 26 Schengen countries with a Schengen visa.

When applying for a Schengen visa, choose the consulate of the country you want to stay in for the longest period of time. Or you may apply via JDR Migration, where we can guide you through the entire process.

Malta student visa

Consider studying in Malta if you want to do so in a safe and peaceful environment. Valletta is where most of Malta's colleges and universities are located.

It boasts some of the world's best institutions for overseas students to study in Malta without an IELTS exam, provided that they offer proof of ability to communicate at a minimum intermediate level in the English language.

Students from outside the EU who want to pursue higher education in Malta must first get a student visa, ideally a Schengen visa, The government works hard to preserve relationships and connections with educational institutions all across the globe. Several American universities have campuses located inside the nation, offering their courses.

Arts, economics, management, science and technology, health sciences, education, engineering, and law degrees can be obtained through full-time or part-time study in a variety of disciplines.

Management Diplomas and MBAs are among the several programmes that draw Indian students to Malta.

Work permit for Malta

Since Malta is a member of the European Union, job seekers from other countries are drawn to the country's high employment rate across a wide range of industries.

In order to be allowed to work and live in Malta, all Third Country Nationals (TCNs) who are not citizens of an EU or EFTA country have the following ways to get a work permit:

1. Single-Permit Application

All TCNs have been obliged to go through the single permit process since 2014 in order to be authorized to work and live in Malta. As part of the application process, you have to send in a Single Permit Application, which has to include the following:

  • Certified copy of a current employment agreement
  • A 12-month private health insurance policy
  • A description of the post that has been approved and signed by the employer
  • A cover letter from the potential employer
  • A CV with at least three years of work experience, signed and supported by three reference letters.
  • 2. The Key Employment Initiative (KEI)

Non-EU nationals with highly specialized talents who want to work in Malta may apply to Malta's government for a fast-track work visa under the KEI scheme.

After submitting their application, potential workers may expect to get their single permits within five working days under this plan. Those who are qualified for management or highly technical jobs that require the right credentials or work experience can choose this path.

    3. License to work through JobsPlus

The government agency Jobsplus is responsible for granting employment permits that are typically valid for a year from the date of issuance. The potential employer is the one who needs to apply for an employment license. The application is then looked at in light of the local job market.

    4. The EU Blue Card

For highly skilled non-EU nationals, the EU Blue Card provides a one-step process to apply for a work visa that is valid for at least one year, but may be extended after that.
